This afternoon, March 15, in Da Nang City, the Naval Region 3 Command held a press conference to celebrate the beginning of the year of Giap Thin - 2024. Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of the Central Propaganda Department in Da Nang; leaders and reporters of 35 central, local and military press and radio agencies.

In 2023, the Party Committee and Command of Naval Region 3 led and directed agencies and units to successfully complete core tasks in managing and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland and in defense diplomacy. Thereby, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment in the sea areas managed by Naval Region 3 to build and develop the country.

In carrying out mass mobilization work, through the program "The Navy is a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea", Navy Region 3 has distributed 180 sets of documents and leaflets; presented 800 national flags, 170 life jackets and lifebuoys to fishermen; and sponsored 12 children of fishermen in difficult circumstances.
Mobilizing social resources to take care of the lives of officers and soldiers in the unit and people on Con Co (Quang Tri) and Ly Son (Quang Ngai) islands, worth more than 2.7 billion VND.
Organized 4 search and rescue missions; rescued 2 fishing boats/12 workers, rescued 4 fishermen from Thua Thien - Hue; received and handed over 83 fishermen on 2 fishing boats from Quang Nam province that had an accident at sea...

In the coordination of propaganda work, in 2023, Naval Region 3 coordinated and created conditions for over 100 reporters from press agencies to exploit materials to write news and propaganda articles. Thereby, the press agencies promptly reflected the activities of Naval Region 3, contributing to encouraging, motivating and motivating officers and soldiers to be steadfast at the forefront, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

At the conference, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien thanked the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department in Da Nang for their affection and attention; leaders, reporters, editors of newspapers and radio stations inside and outside the military; agencies, organizations, and businesses for their great attention to Naval Region 3, helping Naval Region 3 complete its assigned tasks.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien suggested that in the coming time, management agencies, press agencies, departments, branches, localities, and journalists continue to pay attention to and accompany Naval Region 3, contributing to spreading the image and activities of the Navy to ministries, departments, branches, and people of all walks of life nationwide.
On this occasion, the Naval Region 3 Command commended and awarded certificates of merit to 16 reporters from press and radio agencies who had achievements in propaganda coordination work in 2023.
