Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party

On the afternoon of March 20, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong led a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to visit the Lao Embassy in Hanoi on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 - March 22, 2025).

Welcoming the delegation were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Vietnam Khamphao Eunthavanh and leaders and staff of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam.

Speaking with Lao Ambassador Khamphao Eunthavanh, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong highly appreciated the great and historic achievements that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved over the past 70 years.

Recognizing that these achievements not only create a solid foundation for the cause of protecting and developing Laos but also contribute to consolidating the special solidarity between the two countries, while promoting peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world, the Deputy Minister also expressed his delight at the increasingly profound and effective development of Vietnam - Laos relations in all fields. The political relations between the two Parties and countries are increasingly close, while cooperation in economics, security, defense, foreign affairs, culture and science - technology continues to be promoted.

In particular, emphasizing the successful coordination between the two countries in organizing the recent high-level meeting between the leaders of the three parties of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, the Deputy Minister hoped that the two sides would continue to cooperate closely to prepare for important upcoming foreign affairs activities.

Ambassador Khamphao Eunthavanh expressed his sincere thanks to Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong, the Party Committee, leaders and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam for their visit and congratulations.

The Ambassador affirmed that 2025 is a meaningful year for both countries when many important commemorative events and important regional and international meetings take place; expressing the desire to continue to further tighten through extensive cooperation and increased delegation exchanges from the central to local levels.

Pleased with the achievements that Vietnam and Laos have achieved, Ambassador Khamphao Eunthavanh affirmed that Laos' positive results always have the help and support of the Party, National Assembly, Government and people of Vietnam. The Ambassador and the staff of the Lao Embassy personally pledged to continue to make efforts and coordinate more effectively with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to create a solid bridge in the relationship between the two countries.

Ms. Khamphao Eunthavanh once again thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for always paying attention to the Lao Embassy, ​​carefully preparing for all exchanges and meetings between the leaders of the two sides. The Ambassador hopes that Vietnam and Laos will maintain the friendly and traditional relationship, continue to closely coordinate towards more positive results in the future.
