Today, March 20, Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training), signed an official dispatch in response to the Departments of Education and Training of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, and Quang Tri regarding the time to organize the high school graduation exam.
"After considering many factors, the Ministry of Education and Training decided to keep the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule as announced in the 2024-2025 school year plan. Keeping the exam schedule as announced contributes to stabilizing the psychology of students and parents and does not affect other activities in the education sector," the document of the Ministry of Education and Training stated.

Ministry of Education and Training keeps high school graduation exam schedule unchanged at the end of June
Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, the Departments of Education and Training in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, and Ninh Binh had sent a document requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to consider moving up the high school graduation exam schedule because the whole country is implementing the arrangement and merger of provinces and cities and completing district-level tasks according to the conclusion of the Politburo. Moving up the exam is to ensure the rights of students, stabilize the psychology of parents and students; and facilitate the preparation work of localities to implement this year's high school graduation exam.
Some localities have stated that they want to hold the exam between June 7 and 10. However, according to Thanh Nien reporters, the majority of students, parents, teachers and experts believe that changing the exam schedule like this will cause unnecessary disruption.
2025 is the first year of the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. In the school year schedule, the Ministry of Education and Training plans that the exam will take place on June 26 and 27. Candidates will take 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects: literature and math; the remaining 2 subjects students can choose from the subjects they have studied at school (foreign languages, chemistry, physics, biology, geography, history, economic and legal education, information technology, technology).
