Two fourth grade students in Quang Tri province found a gold bar and returned it to the person who lost it.

On the afternoon of March 20, Hai Khe Commune Police, Hai Lang District, Quang Tri Province confirmed that they had verified and returned 1 tael of gold to the person who lost it.

Previously, at 11:30 a.m. on March 17, Hai Khe Commune Police received information from Mr. Le Hong Hanh (born in 1989, residing in Trung An village, Hai Khe commune) about his son Le Thanh Tinh and his friend Tran Thi Linh Dan picking up 2 gold rings (2 rings) weighing 1 tael of gold. Mr. Hanh handed over the gold to the commune police for verification and to find the owner to return it.

Tinh and Dan are classmates in grade 4 at Hai Khe Primary and Secondary School.

Immediately after receiving it, Hai Khe Commune Police verified and had sufficient grounds to determine that the above 1 gold tree belonged to Mr. Truong Van Sung (born in 1991, residing in Tham Khe village, Hai Khe commune) who dropped it.

Mr. Sung dropped a gold bar on the morning of March 16 at the boat racing camp of Hai Khe commune, on the shore of Khe Che lake, in Dien Sanh town, Hai Lang district.

After verifying the person who dropped the gold, Hai Khe Commune Police invited two students to carry out the procedure to return the lost gold.

Receiving the lost property, Mr. Sung was very happy and thanked the two students and the police.

Hai Khe Commune Police said that the beautiful actions of Le Thanh Tinh and Tran Thi Linh Dan are shining examples of honesty in "picking up lost property and returning it to its owner", a noble and humane act.
