Born in 1990 in Sion, Valais, Switzerland, Sophie Loretan (Sophie de Quay) has loved writing and music since she was a child. She uses her pen to tell stories about people, love, the beauty of the world and the injustices she witnesses.
Returning to Switzerland, Sophie continued her artistic studies at Les Ateliers du Funambule. She performed regularly on stage, both solo and in groups. She also joined the troupe of the Théâtre des Salons in Geneva, under the direction of Alain Carré. Her meeting in 2016 with Pascal Auberson, who became her spiritual mentor, led her to explore music and artistic expression in greater depth.
After graduating with a literature baccalaureate with honors, Sophie studied professional vocal music at the ATLA school in Paris for a year, then, fascinated by Asian culture, she continued her studies in Sinology at the University of Geneva...
While studying, Sophie began recording her first compositions at One Music Studio, collaborating with Christophe Duc and John Woolloff (guitarist for Catherine Lara and Patrick Bruel). In 2016, her career took a turn when she and Simon Jaccard formed Sophie de Quay, a group that combines pop, electro and world music.
With the ability to sing in many languages such as French, English, Mandarin and some other languages of the countries she visits, Sophie de Quay has made her mark on many international stages, such as New York (Mondo Festival, Bitter End), India, Singapore (Music Matters Festival), Japan (Fêtes de la Francophonie), Romania, Spain, Paris (La Boule Noire), Poland, Türkiye...
In 2024, Sophie Loretan married Simon Jaccard, marking not only a turning point in their personal lives but also cementing their artistic relationship. The group continues their creative journey, bringing their music to audiences around the world.
Born in 1989, Simon Jaccard started learning piano at the age of 6. At the age of 20, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Lausanne School of Music (HEMU), majoring in Jazz.
With more than 100 performances per year, Simon has performed at many famous stages such as Paléo, Paris (Olympia, Trianon, Zenith, La Cigale), Caribana, Gurten, Stravinski stage at Montreux Jazz Festival...
His performing experience has expanded to include roles as a pianist/keyboardist, percussionist, and vocalist. His international career has also expanded, with invitations to perform in countries such as the United States, Japan, Korea, China, India, Singapore, Germany, Canada, France, Austria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Bahrain, Dubai, Algeria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Italy, and many others.

With an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to share his creativity, in 2016 Simon co-founded the electronic pop project “Sophie de Quay”. In this project, he took on the roles of songwriter, arranger, music director and producer. This also marked his beginning as a music producer. With 1 EP (mini album), 1 album, 5 tours, over 250 concerts and many collaborations with other artists, the duo from Gen City has traveled the world, constantly seeking new experiences and sharing their music with a wide audience.
In Hanoi, singer Sophie de Quay and her husband and co-star Simon Jaccard will bring vibrant pop melodies and emotional lyrics on a musical journey connecting cultures.
