Binh Thuan: Urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the broken cable at the construction site that killed 3 people

Immediately after the construction accident in which a pulley cable broke, killing three workers, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province requested relevant units to urgently investigate and clarify the incident.

On the afternoon of November 11, Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, signed an urgent document conveying the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requesting relevant localities and units to inspect and clarify the cause and responsibility in the work accident that killed 3 workers.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and closely coordinate with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Construction, and the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city to focus on overcoming the consequences; urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the accident; clarify the responsibilities of related organizations and individuals, and strictly handle violations (if any) according to regulations.

The results of the case will be reported to the Provincial People's Committee before November 14.

In addition, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province also requested the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Bac district and the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city to urgently organize thoughtful visits, encourage and promptly provide material and spiritual support to the victims' families.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, at around 11:40 a.m. the same day, at a 6-storey construction site located at A7-67, Phu Thuy Ward, Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan Province), a pulley cable broke, causing 3 construction workers to fall to the ground and die on the spot.

At that time, 3 workers including NVX (born in 1954), NTT (born in 1978) and BNL (born in 1961, all residing in Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province) were taken from the 6th floor of the construction site to the ground to take a lunch break.

When these 3 people stepped into the iron box to be winched down to the ground, the cable suddenly broke. The incident caused all 3 people to fall to the ground and die on the spot.

Immediately after the incident, Binh Thuan Provincial Police were present to block off the scene, organize an examination and investigate the cause of the incident.
