According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, the project to build the Coastal Road (DT.639) in Hoai Nhon Town, inaugurated and put into use today, is a very important traffic route, aiming to meet transportation needs, strengthen traffic connections in the East - West direction (from the North - South expressway to the coastal road), creating conditions to promote socio-economic development of Hoai Nhon Town, one of the three main development poles of Binh Dinh Province, is the northern gateway urban area, the nucleus promoting the development of the northern sub-region of the province; is an area of importance in protecting the landscape, environment, sustainable development; is a new urban development area associated with modern industrial development associated with the new driving force in the North of the province; is an area with great potential for marine economic development, associated with tourism services; at the same time, expanding the urban space of Hoai Nhon towards the sea, gradually completing the urban planning of the town; generate budget revenue from land funds along the project, contribute to completing the transport infrastructure system for the northern region of the province, promote the growth pole in the northern region of the province and ensure national security and defense.
The project started construction in April 2022, after more than 2 years of construction with many difficulties and obstacles, especially in compensation and site clearance, which affected the project's construction progress. However, with the timely attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, along with the coordination and support of the Departments, branches, localities and the determination and efforts of the Investor, Construction Contractors, and related units, up to now, the project has been completed with quality and progress according to the set plan, opening up a new development space, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Hoai Nhon Town in particular and Binh Dinh Province in general in the coming time.
The project of the connecting route with the coastal road (DT.639) in Hoai Nhon town has the starting point intersecting with DT.638 road at Km 19+291 in Hoai Thanh Tay ward; the end point intersecting with the coastal road (DT.639) at Km 99+206 in Tam Quan Nam ward. The project has a total investment of 786 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 400 billion VND, the rest is used from the provincial budget. The route is designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road with a design speed of 80km/h, the route length is about 7.0 km, passing through the wards of Hoai Thanh Tay, Hoai Thanh, Tam Quan Nam, Hoai Nhon town; the roadbed width is 22.0m; the asphalt concrete road surface is 19.0m wide, with 04 lanes for motor vehicles and 02 lanes for rudimentary vehicles; the median strip is 2.0m wide; the earthen shoulder is 1.0m wide; Complete the lighting system to ensure traffic safety and plant trees in the median strip.

In particular, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the households in the project area, especially the households whose land was completely cleared and had to be relocated to new places, who have supported the government in site clearance so that the project can be constructed on schedule, contributing to today's success," the Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
In addition, in order for the project to promote investment efficiency, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested the Investor, Departments, branches, localities and units managing and exploiting the route to perform well the management, maintenance and use of the project; complete investment settlement procedures and carry out project warranty work according to the provisions of law.
