Over the years, being encouraged and motivated by the Party Committee and the government and trusted by the members to perform the task of participating in building the grassroots political system, in any working position, the elderly have fulfilled their tasks well, becoming a solid and trustworthy support for the Party Committee and the government, a bridge between the Party and the people, contributing to building the great national unity bloc. Many elderly people have been commended and rewarded by the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, organizations and associations at all levels, contributing to enhancing the position and role of the elderly.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu emphasized the role of the elderly in the development of society and informed the conference about the achievements of the province in the past time. Acknowledging and congratulating the achievements of the elderly association in the period of 2024-2029, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested: The Elderly Association at all levels needs to closely follow the objectives of the Association, strengthen propaganda work, mobilize members to set an example in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; Continue to encourage and create conditions for the elderly to participate in the grassroots political system, pay attention to innovating methods of operation, promoting the spirit of mutual love, affection, and affection, actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, promoting the emulation movements of the Association, being a shining example for the younger generation to learn and follow.

On this occasion, 129 outstanding elderly people were honored for their achievements in participating in building the grassroots political system in the period of 2019 - 2024, of which the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 21 individuals, the Central Association awarded certificates of merit to 12 individuals, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 individuals, the Provincial Association of the Elderly awarded certificates of merit to 94 individuals; Honoring 4 delegates attending the Central Conference.
