On the afternoon of April 10, Comrade Dang Xuan Phong, Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, received Mr. Hung Ba, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, during his visit and work in Lao Cai province.
Mr. Hung Ba, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, expressed his delight at the development of Lao Cai (Vietnam), and emphasized that over the past years, the friendly relationship between the two Parties and the two countries has achieved many achievements in many fields. Along with that, the friendly relationship between Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China) has also been strengthened, with exchanges in many new fields. Currently, the two countries are cooperating in the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project. Mr. Hung Ba believes that the completion of the railway will promote trade between the two countries, opening up more opportunities for Lao Cai to further promote its trade cooperation relationship with Yunnan province. The Chinese Ambassador hopes that Lao Cai will continue to develop and achieve many more great achievements in the future.
In particular, the 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program held in Lao Cai is a very big event. I expect and believe that this event will be a great success, affirming the friendly relationship between the two countries. Mr. Hung Ba, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam emphasized.
Receiving the Chinese Ambassador, Comrade Dang Xuan Phong, Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, gave an overview of the province's socio-economic situation, expressing his joy at the results achieved in the friendly relationship and development cooperation between Vietnam and China. Over the years, Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China) have always maintained a stable friendly cooperative relationship and achieved positive results in many fields such as trade and tourism promotion; coordinated implementation of border contents signed by the two governments, regularly organized bilateral negotiations in many fields; organized exchange activities between agencies and localities of the two sides...
Lao Cai also coordinated with localities to effectively implement the "Vietnam-China Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance" and important common perceptions reached between senior leaders of the two Parties and States of Vietnam and China.
The Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary affirmed: In recent years, Lao Cai has achieved comprehensive results in many fields, with an economic growth rate higher than the national average. In the field of foreign affairs, Lao Cai has also demonstrated its important role as this is the second time organizing the Vietnam - China border defense friendship exchange event. We are striving to build Lao Cai into a growth pole, a center connecting economic trade between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Southwest region of China. Lao Cai hopes to continue receiving support and assistance from China as well as the Ambassador himself, especially in the field of education; contributing a common voice in promoting policies on infrastructure connectivity, especially the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway. Lao Cai also hopes to be supported in connecting the construction of smart border gates and supporting the two sides to alternately organize the international Red River Festival event.
