Closing ceremony of Son La City Ban Flower Festival 2025

After 2 days of cultural, artistic and sports activities, on the evening of March 16, at Tay Bac Square, Son La city, the closing ceremony of the 2025 Ban Flower Festival took place, leaving many impressions in the hearts of the people and tourists. Attending the closing ceremony were comrade Ha Trung Chien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; leaders of departments, branches and the city along with a large number of people and tourists inside and outside the province.

The closing ceremony featured a special art program performed by a group of singers, actors, artisans and mass actors from the city, with singing and dancing performances: “Uncle Son La’s Love”; “Ban Blooming Season”; “Son La Spring Love Song” praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, love, the beauty of the homeland and people of Son La Northwest.

The 2025 Son La City Ban Flower Festival has ended with many good impressions, attracting tens of thousands of people and tourists to attend. The ceremony was performed with solemn rituals, in accordance with traditional customs and with high educational propaganda meaning. The festival organized many unique cultural and sports activities such as: Xen Muong ritual, Hai Mountain Legend Conquest Competition; live performance of Ban Flower beauties in Thai ethnic costumes; Xoe hoop performance; Pieu scarf embroidery competition; presentation of Thai ethnic cuisine; sports and folk game competitions; cultural camp competition... Ban Flower Festival is a typical cultural event, contributing to promoting the image of Son La city rich in identity, friendly and hospitable to friends and tourists.

Ms. Quàng Thị Xuyen - Tourist from Dien Bien city: In Dien Bien we also have a Ban flower festival but this year I want to try to experience the Ban flower festival in Son La city but I feel very happy and impressed with the Ban flower festival in Son La with a very grand and unique scale of organization, I was impressed with the Thai xoe dance, folk games, not only that but also the booths are full of identity and if I have the chance, I will definitely visit again.

The Ban Flower Festival in Son La City is held as an opportunity to honor, preserve and promote the unique traditional values ​​of the community of 12 ethnic groups in the city; convey the message of hospitality and friendliness of Son La City to a large number of people, tourists from all over the country and visitors.

Mr. Tran Cong Chinh - Vice Chairman of Son La City People's Committee: This is one of the tasks proposed in Project 04 of the City Party Executive Committee, which is expected to be continued in the coming time with better scale and quality, but more importantly, to prove that the successful results of this festival have affirmed that Conclusion 1186 as well as Project 04 are extremely correct policies on preserving cultural values ​​and identities of the city's ethnic groups.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second and third prizes to the teams and contestants participating in the Hai Mountain Legend Conquest, Pieu Scarf Embroidery, Cultural Camp and Local Product Display Competition, Cuisine Competition, Xoe Dance Competition, Beauty Contest in Original and Modernized Thai Ethnic Costumes; awarded the First Prize to the Chieng Den Commune team, awarded 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 6 consolation prizes to the teams./.
