ANTD.VN - On December 13, 2023, the Ceremony to announce Vietnam's sustainable enterprises in 2023 organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) took place in Hanoi with the participation of leaders of departments, ministries, branches, central and local agencies, organizations and more than 250 business delegates.

Surpassing hundreds of candidates who are enterprises with positive contributions to sustainable development activities during the year, Bao Viet continues to be honored in the Top 10 "Vietnam Sustainable Enterprises 2023". This is also the 8th consecutive year that Bao Viet is one of the outstanding sustainable enterprises in Vietnam in the field of trade and services.

The CSI 2023 Program is implemented under new regulations, with many improvements to ensure transparency, fairness and rigor in assessment. 2023 is the 8th consecutive year that the CSI Program has been chaired and organized by VCCI under the direction of the Government, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, especially with the participation of the Central Economic Commission in the Program Steering Committee from this year. The Program has received a great response and participation from the business community nationwide, regardless of scale or field of operation.
From nearly 500 business profiles registered to participate - of which nearly 25% were businesses participating for the first time, the Program Secretariat selected 146 qualified profiles for the Evaluation Council to independently score on online software, and at the same time conducted a strict and transparent appraisal process before submitting to the Steering Committee to decide on the 100 most typical sustainable businesses to be honored at the announcement ceremony.
By fully meeting the key requirements of 3 main factors: economy, society, environment and achieving a high overall score. Participating and achieving high rankings in the Ranking for 8 consecutive years reflects the continuous contributions of Bao Viet Group in joining hands with the business community to promote sustainable development in Vietnam, which has been recognized by the appraisers and reflected in this year's ranking results.
Entering its 8th year, the Program continues to use the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) as a tool to assess the level of sustainable development (PTBV) of enterprises in terms of economic efficiency, corporate governance, environment, and labor and society. Of the 130 indicators of CSI 2023, up to 63% of the indicators are related to legal compliance requirements, while indicators related to sustainable business initiatives account for 37%.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) is a global benchmark for sustainability that ranks the world's leading companies based on RobecoSAM's analysis and S&P Dow Jones Indices's methodology based on free-float adjusted market capitalization and ESG criteria (Environmental, Social and Governance Metrics). To be ranked in the DJSI, Bao Viet must meet strict requirements on many factors such as: corporate financial health, stock value, transparency, corporate sustainability, etc.
