Speaking to the press a few minutes ago, expert Nguyen Van Huong - Head of Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting noted that due to the influence of storm No. 6, from this afternoon, in the sea, coastal and mainland areas of the provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, there will begin to be showers and thunderstorms. From this time onwards, the Central region will experience a heavy rain.

"We also pay close attention to the fact that rain in the storm's circulation occurs with high frequency, with rainfall in 3 hours possibly reaching over 100mm; 6 to 12 hours possibly over 200mm, and heavy rain combined with prolonged heavy rain causes urban flooding as well as the risk of flash floods and landslides in the Central region," Mr. Huong emphasized.

Regarding the situation of strong winds on land, experts also noted that from early tomorrow morning (October 27), the area from Quang Tri to Quang Nam is likely to have strong coastal winds of level 6, level 7, and areas near the storm center are likely to have strong winds of level 8, level 9. The strongest winds are likely to appear from morning to afternoon tomorrow (September 27).
