The Government's Special Task Force visited and inspected Company 705 and the Martyrs' Grave Collection Team.

On June 20, the Vietnamese Government's Special Working Group led by Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Minister of National Defense, visited and inspected the 705 International Cooperation Company and the Martyrs' Grave Search and Collection Team, Political Department of Military Region 2.

The delegation included Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Comrade Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense; Major General Dinh Manh Phac, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2; Colonel Khong Dinh Tam, Chief of Politics of Military Region 2.

Visiting and inspecting the Search and Collection Team of Martyrs' Graves, the Political Department of Military Region 2, the Government's Special Task Force burned incense to commemorate and pay tribute to 10 martyrs' remains that the Collection Team had just found during the dry season of 2022-2023; visiting the accommodation and working place of the officers and soldiers of the Collection Team. The working delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the Collection Team. Although the accommodation and working place were very difficult, cramped, and lacking in material things, they overcame all obstacles, crossed streams and forests, turned over every bush and blade of grass to find and bring the remains of martyrs who had heroically fought and sacrificed in Laos back to their homeland for burial.

Reporting to the working delegation, Colonel Bui Van Dai, Chairman of Company 705, said: International Cooperation Company 705 is a defense and security enterprise belonging to the combat bloc, located in strategic areas in the Northern Lao provinces, with the function and task of building a stable and comprehensively developed Vietnam - Laos border; representing Military Region 2 in performing foreign affairs with provinces and military units in the Northern Lao provinces. From 2022 to now, the company's staff, employees and workers have overcome all difficulties to successfully complete production and business tasks, helping friends build strong clusters of villages; helping people develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; production and business ensure compliance with Vietnamese and Lao laws, strictly implement the tax payment regime to the State, make profits, the average income of workers reaches 14.5 million VND/person/month, the unit is absolutely safe.

Speaking at the two units he visited and inspected, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong praised the efforts of the officers, soldiers, employees, and workers of Company 705 and the Collection Team, under Military Region 2. In the past time, despite living and working far from their families and homeland, the soldiers have promoted the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, with a high sense of self-awareness and responsibility; both fulfilling their assigned tasks and performing well in mass mobilization and foreign affairs, making an important contribution to building the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos and the friendship between the two armies. Regarding some recommendations of the Collection Team, the Head of the Government's Special Task Force assigned the relevant agencies to receive, study, and submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision.

Previously, the Government Special Working Group led by Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong visited and worked with the leaders of Udomxay province. At the meeting, the delegation listened to the leaders of Udomxay province brief them on the geographical, economic, political and social characteristics of the province. The Head of the Government Special Working Group hoped that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Udomxay province would unite, constantly progress and develop; pay attention to and create favorable conditions to help the military units of Military Region 2 stationed in the area, building solidarity and friendship between the people of Laos and Vietnam.
