Ba Ria - Vung Tau supports more than 107 billion VND to eliminate temporary houses in Lai Chau

(PLVN) - Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has just awarded 107,325 billion VND to support the construction of 1,788 houses for poor households and policy families in Lai Chau.

Responding to the emulation movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has donated 107.325 billion VND to support the construction of houses for poor households and policy families with difficult circumstances in Lai Chau province.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee, presented a financial support board to Mr. Le Van Luong - Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee.

On the morning of March 22, the working delegation of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the leaders of Lai Chau province and awarded funding to support the construction of 1,788 houses (each house worth 60 million VND) from the contribution fund in response to the emulation movement.

At the meeting, Lai Chau provincial leaders informed about the results of the implementation of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, saying that so far 6,681 households have been approved for housing support.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province Nguyen Van Tho said: In recent times, the province has actively promoted and mobilized the whole society to respond to the emulation movement, helping thousands of households have solid houses. Currently, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, there are no more temporary or dilapidated houses.

Leaders of the two provinces hope that this support will help households in Lai Chau have stable housing, creating conditions to escape poverty and develop sustainably.

Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Le Van Luong expressed his gratitude and pledged to use the support resources for the right purposes, ensuring efficiency and timeliness to help people have solid housing.

Through the working session, Lai Chau provincial leaders also hope to strengthen connections, learn management experience, promote investment and cooperate in many fields, opening up new directions in the cooperative relationship between Lai Chau and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
