Israel's campaign against Iran ended after three airstrikes, the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation reported on October 26.

Axios news site reporter posted on X that the second and third airstrikes focused on missile and drone bases as well as production facilities.

On the same day, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials were assessing the security situation after the Israeli military conducted airstrikes on Iran.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu is conducting a security review at Kirya Air Base (Ministry of Defense) with the defense minister, the army chief, the Mossad chief and the Shin Bet chief," the statement said.

Israel's large-scale attack on Iran on October 26 involved more than 100 aircraft, including F-35 "Adir" stealth fighters, which carried out airstrikes on targets in Iran about 2,000km from the border.

According to the Jerusalem Post news agency, the attacks focused on Tehran and Karaj, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claiming each wave of strikes only targeted military sites, minimizing the risk of conflict.

Israeli officials have denied reports that Iranian air defenses intercepted most of the Israeli missiles.

The Axios news site quoted US and Israeli officials as saying that so far there have been three waves of attacks on Iran. The first wave is said to have targeted air defense systems, while subsequent attacks "focused on bases, as well as missile and drone production sites."

Tasnim news agency quoted an Iranian source as saying that Tehran has the right to respond to Israel's attack and will certainly respond "appropriately".
