The Apple Watch Series 9 uses a brand new Apple silicon chipset, which is equipped with four artificial intelligence processing cores to perform computing tasks twice as fast. The device's battery life remains the same at 18 hours.
With Ultra Wideband support, the Apple Watch Series 9 can use Precision Finding for iPhone for the first time, just like the iPhone can with AirTag. The display on the Series 9 has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits.
Additionally, the Watch Series 9 can also be controlled by a new hand gesture called "Double Tap", where users tap their thumb and ring finger together, just like with the Vision Pro headset. With this gesture, you can interact with the device without touching the screen for tasks such as answering or ending calls, stopping the stopwatch, snoozing the alarm, pausing or playing music, etc.
The Apple Watch Series 9 is available in two screen sizes (41mm, 45mm) and two frame options: aluminum and steel. The product is currently on sale for $399.
