Dang Thanh Ngan shared about her changes after being crowned 4th runner-up at the Miss Supranational 2023 pageant held on July 15.
"Actually, at that time, I was a bit surprised when public opinion was so uproarious. This was not the first time I had participated in a beauty contest. Before that, in 2017, when I participated in Miss Ocean, I participated in the Miss contest in Can Tho City, and was always supported and encouraged by everyone.
But when I was invited to participate in Miss Supranational, with the names that everyone expected to compete, I was mentally prepared to receive many mixed opinions, but I didn't think it would be this much, I really didn't think it would be this much," Dang Thanh Ngan confided.
"There are opinions that are really not true to me or who I am. When I read the first comments, I wasn't sad, but when I read so many comments like that, spreading on social networks and almost every article had those comments, I was "shocked".
I was quite affected. I cried because there was too much pressure. I doubted myself whether I had made the right decision, and asked Phuc Nguyen, "Now that I have announced it to the press, do you believe I can do it?"
