The 2024 National Food Festival in Dien Bien has received enthusiastic response and participation from localities, hotels, and restaurants representing the three regions of the North - Central - South. The festival takes place from November 14 - 17 with 70 food stalls, introducing visitors to unique ethnic dishes, imbued with the traditional culinary culture of regions across the country.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, emphasized: Culinary tourism is one of the typical product types that need to be focused on developing, contributing to enhancing the competitive advantage and brand of Vietnam's tourism. Organizing the 2024 National Food Festival in Dien Bien province is a practical activity to honor the diversity, uniqueness and attractiveness of Vietnamese culinary culture in general and Dien Bien and Northwest cuisine in particular. This is an opportunity to promote the potential and strengths of Dien Bien - a land of cultural and historical tourism with great appeal to domestic and foreign tourists.
The culinary festival contributes to honoring and promoting delicious dishes, attracting tourists to the cuisine of the Northwest in particular and Vietnam in general; promoting and introducing to tourists the culinary art of preparing delicious dishes of localities across the country. At the same time, introducing and performing delicious dishes made by chefs of localities, hotels and restaurants nationwide.
