
The training course was attended by 74 artisans and students of the Kho Mu ethnic group residing in Keo village, Pa Khoang commune (Dien Bien Phu city). During the 3 days (November 9-11), students were taught the following topics: Preservation and promotion of traditional costumes of Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the current period through activities of building and replicating traditional costume conservation models. Cultural identity of ethnic groups in Dien Bien province; current status of conservation and promotion of traditional costume conservation models of ethnic groups in the province. Value of traditional costumes of the Kho Mu people in ethnic life; methods and skills of building and replicating models of preserving the value of traditional costumes of the Kho Mu people. Production process, techniques of decorating motifs on traditional costumes of the Kho Mu people and practicing embroidery techniques on traditional costumes of the Kho Mu people.
Through training, it contributes to improving capacity, awareness of self-preservation, preservation and promotion of models of preserving traditional costumes of the Khmu ethnic group. At the same time, it encourages people to actively participate in activities of preserving costumes in particular and preserving traditional cultural identity in general.
