According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, up to now, the Ministry has completed the dossier of the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); the dossier of the draft National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035 to report to the Government to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 8th session; built a dossier to report to the Government to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and initial comments on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising; submitted to the Government a draft Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 54/2019/ND-CP regulating the business of karaoke services and discotheque services.
In the field of Culture and Family, the Ministry submitted to the Prime Minister a decision to rank 3 special national relics in the 15th phase; approved a plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the special national historical, architectural and artistic relic of Binh Son tower, Tam Son town, Song Lo district, Vinh Phuc province; and decided to include 18 intangible cultural heritages in the List of national intangible cultural heritages.
In addition, the Ministry has coordinated with localities to organize cultural events such as: Folk Cultural Performance Festival of Ethnic Groups in Quang Ngai Province; The 19th Rendezvous Singing Festival of 9 Rivers in Tra Vinh Province; launching the "Vietnam Creative Advertising Award" contest in 2024; organizing a film series to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; national circus, drama, and puppetry talent competitions and festivals...
In the field of Physical Education and Sports, the Ministry has developed a plan to prepare athletes for the 20th ASIAD in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028; focusing on the Disabled Sports Delegation to participate in the Paris Paralympics, winning 1 bronze medal (Athlete Le Van Cong in Weightlifting with a score of 171 kg). In addition, the Sports sector focused on preparing and successfully organizing the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in Hai Phong.
In the field of tourism, the Ministry continues to implement solutions to promote rapid and sustainable tourism development. According to statistics, the total number of international visitors in 8 months is estimated at 11,416,703 million, an increase of 45.8% over the same period in 2023; domestic tourists are estimated at 89.5 million. Total revenue from tourism in 8 months is estimated at 586.1 trillion VND.
In recent times, many tourism activities have taken place such as: Workshop "Developing community tourism associated with building new rural areas"; Ceremony to honor leading tourism enterprises in Vietnam; requesting the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien - Hue province to complete the dossier to host the National Tourism Year 2025; completing the process of appointing Vietnam Tourism Ambassador in France... Besides, the Ministry has organized a program to introduce Vietnam tourism in the markets of Australia, New Zealand, Russia, the US...
To complete the targets and plans set for the whole year 2024, from now until the end of the year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to deploy 6 groups of tasks and 4 groups of solutions to build, preserve and promote the unique values of advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity; complete the dossier of the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended) and the National Target Program on Culture for the period 2025-2035...
One of the important contents is that the Ministry will implement the Project "Digitizing festival data in Vietnam" for the period 2021-2025 and the Project "Preventing crimes and preventing and combating violations of the law in cultural, sports and tourism activities" for the period 2021-2025; publishing a collection of propaganda skits to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; organizing a graphic painting contest and exhibition of 10 ASEAN countries, the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival; Film Week to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; participating in the Asia-Pacific Film Festival...
In the tourism sector, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a National Food Festival in Dien Bien; a booth introducing Vietnamese tourism at the 2024 UK WTM Fair; the 2024 China CITM Fair...
