On March 26 and 27, 45 students of Tue Duc Primary and Secondary School (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) had stomachaches after eating lunch, afternoon tea, and breakfast at school, suspected of food poisoning.

Information from a quick report from two schools in the Tue Duc education system, Tue Duc Secondary School and Tam Tue Duc Secondary School (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) sent to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, said that on March 26 and 27, a total of 45 students of the school showed signs of abdominal pain, some of whom had headaches, nausea, diarrhea, some had mild abdominal pain, and some had to be hospitalized.
The students showed these symptoms after eating breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea on March 25 and 26 at school and are suspected of having food poisoning.
Specifically, on March 26, Tue Duc Secondary School at 1/5 Bis Luong Dinh Cua, An Khanh Ward (Thu Duc City) recorded 38 cases of suspected food poisoning, including 2 students at home and 2 students at school with suspected symptoms and 34 students with symptoms or headaches, vomiting, diarrhea after eating at school. The suspected food poisoning was in the lunch and snack on March 25 and the morning of March 26.
Next, on the morning of March 27, Tam Tue Duc Secondary School at 644 Nguyen Thi Dinh, Thanh My Loi Ward, Thu Duc City recorded 7 cases of students whose parents asked them to stay home for observation because they had symptoms of mild abdominal pain.
It is known that the food source for the meals of students of this school on March 25 and 26 was provided by an industrial kitchen with a company address in Tan Thanh ward, Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City.
Also according to information from the above report, after there were cases of students being hospitalized, suffering from stomach aches suspected of being caused by food poisoning from food sources at school, this school system took samples for testing and sent food samples for testing 4 times from 2 independent medical inspection sources.
Faced with this situation, on the afternoon of March 26, the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City went to Tue Duc Secondary School to work; check the status, records and preliminary processing procedures at the school kitchen and grasp the situation of students suspected of food poisoning.
Through inspection, the facility providing industrial kitchens for this school ensured hygiene, the staff performing preliminary processing wore labor protection, updated the 3-step book and kept samples according to regulations.
