LPBank Chairman has not received salary for 2 consecutive years

At LPBank, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy - Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) - did not receive remuneration for two consecutive years, although the bank still spent nearly 7 billion VND for other members of the BOD in 2024.

Mr. Thuy joined the Board of Directors of this bank in 2021 and officially became chairman from the end of 2022. According to the management report, Mr. Thuy holds more than 70.7 million LPB shares, equivalent to 2.76% of the bank's capital.

Meanwhile, LPB vice presidents such as Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Mr. Ho Nam Tien, and Mr. Bui Thai Ha will all receive a salary of 1.2 billion VND in 2024, nearly 380 million VND higher than last year.

In the executive board, Mr. Vu Quoc Khanh - who was newly appointed LPB general director since February this year - received more than 1 billion VND, a decrease of more than 300 million VND compared to his income in 2023.

In terms of business performance, LPB is a bank with a remarkable profit growth rate last year when pre-tax profit reached VND 12,168 billion, 1.7 times higher than in 2023.

At Vietcombank (VCB), the bank spent nearly 14 billion VND on remuneration and bonuses for members of the Board of Directors last year, down from the previous year.

Reporting detailed information, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - who has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of VCB since July 2024, received 1.64 billion VND. This level is lower than the 3 other members of the Board of Directors received. For example, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung (over 2.22 billion VND), Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh (nearly 2.25 billion VND), Mr. Ho Quang (nearly 2.1 billion VND).

Mr. Shojiro Mizoguchi, a foreign member of the Board of Directors of VCB, received a salary of 1.77 billion VND. Notably, the salary and bonus for Vietcombank's executive board last year was only nearly 17.47 billion VND, down more than 55% compared to the previous year.

Of which, Mr. Le Quang Vinh - General Director of VCB (appointed in March 2025) - received nearly 1.94 billion VND. Meanwhile, the deputy general directors received income ranging from 1.7 - 1.96 billion VND last year.

Vietcombank has been the bank with the highest profit in the system for many consecutive years. Last year, VCB recorded pre-tax profit of VND42,236 billion, up 2.2% compared to 2023.

The chairman received the highest income in 2023, how much will he receive in 2024?

Techcombank's (TCB ) financial report also clearly shows the remuneration and salaries that the bank's senior leaders received last year.

For example, Mr. Ho Hung Anh - Chairman of TCB - received a salary of more than 4.3 billion VND last year, equivalent to 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - first vice president of TCB (chairman of Masan) - received a salary of nearly 3.99 billion VND, higher but not significantly higher than last year.

The remaining vice presidents such as Mr. Nguyen Thieu Quang, Mr. Nguyen Canh Son, and Mr. Ho Anh Ngoc received 1.7 billion VND, 3.8 billion VND, and more than 2.67 billion VND, respectively.

The highest-paid member of TCB's Board of Directors is Mr. Eugene Keith Galbraith - an independent member of the Board of Directors, with VND 6.75 billion for the whole year of 2024.

The leader with the highest income among TCB's leadership is Mr. Jens Lottner - General Director - with more than 25.66 billion VND, an increase of nearly 1.6 billion VND compared to 2023.

According to the audit report, TCB's pre-tax profit reached VND27,538 billion, up 20% over the same period.

VPBank (VPB) also announced its audited financial report for 2024. Most of the bank's leaders had no change in income compared to the previous year.

Of which, Mr. Ngo Chi Dung - Chairman of the Board of Directors - received a salary of 3.36 billion VND. Two vice presidents Bui Hai Quan and Lo Bang Giang both received a salary of 3.12 billion VND. The person with the highest salary at VPBank is Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh - General Director, receiving 11.31 billion VND.

In 2023, Sacombank Chairman Duong Cong Minh had the highest income in the banking industry. Up to this point, the bank has not yet announced its audited financial report for 2024.

In the previously published self-made report, Sacombank did not declare the income of each member in detail, only stating that the total remuneration of Chairman Duong Cong Minh and other members of the Board of Directors in 2024 was more than VND 53.12 billion, an increase compared to VND 44.1 billion in 2023.
