(Dan Tri) - On the evening of March 12, musician Vu Quang Trung returned with the music night "Return to the Dream Wharf" in Hanoi, marking an important milestone in his career after more than two decades away from home.
After 25 years away from home, musician Vu Quang Trung - founder of the once famous Hoa Sua band - returned to his homeland with the Sound of Dreams series, starting with the special live show Return to the Dream Wharf .
Not only marking the return to the home stage, the music night is also a journey back in time, where the audience is immersed in the melodies that have made the names of many generations of artists.

Still loyal to the lyrical music with a jazz and classical feel, he breathed new life into familiar songs such as When I Love You , Autumn Has Gone , Eyes , Spring Rain , Last Words of Love ... with delicate, emotional arrangements.
The musical space became even more special with the participation of singer Ho Trung Dung with his warm and captivating voice, and Nguyen Ngoc Anh with her powerful and emotional performance style. Flute artist Le Thu Huong, TuTi group and VQT Band also contributed to the sublime moments, harmoniously combining classical and modern elements.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, musician Vu Quang Trung could not hide his emotions when standing on the stage of his hometown after so many years. For him, this was not just a performance, but also an opportunity to meet again with friends, colleagues and audiences who have loved his music over the years.
"When I looked down at the auditorium, I saw many familiar faces. They were people who had accompanied me since the early days of composing. This concert was not only a personal milestone, but also a reunion with old memories and emotions," the musician shared.

He also said that one of the biggest challenges in making the show was coordinating between artists with different styles.
"Ngoc Anh and Trung Dung are both singers with strong musical personalities, combining them in the same program requires adjustment to find the best harmony.
"When working together, I have the opportunity to look back at my old songs from a different perspective, more modern, more sophisticated. That helps me see that music is always moving and innovating," said musician Vu Quang Trung.

At the event, the unscripted improvisational moment when musician Do Bao and singer Ngoc Anh performed the song I Love You (composed by Vu Quang Trung) together made the audience sob. This is the song that the couple performed in the Sao Mai rendezvous contest 2005 .
Musician Do Bao expressed that 20 years have passed since the first time he and Ngoc Anh performed the song " I love you" on stage. He said he was very happy to once again have the opportunity to recreate the song in the space of Vu Quang Trung's music night.
At the end of the music night, musician Vu Quang Trung could not hide his emotions: "I am happy to be able to bring my compositions back to my hometown audience. That is the most precious thing for a musician."
Musician Vu Quang Trung was born into a family with a musical tradition in Hanoi, the son of musician Vu Thanh and opera singer Tran Tuyet Nhung. He composed early, became a member of the Vietnam Musicians Association at the age of 22, taught at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music and held the position of Deputy Head of the Music Department (1995).
Sticking to the lyrical music genre that blends jazz and classical, he composed more than 40 songs, including When I Love You (1997), Autumn Has Gone (1998), Eyes (1990), Spring Raindrops (1992), Last Words of Love (1996)...
He has collaborated with many leading artists such as My Linh, Hong Nhung, Thanh Lam, Tran Thu Ha and Bang Kieu.
In addition to composing, he also participates in harmony, arrangement, orchestration and collaboration with many major art programs. He currently works mainly in Los Angeles (USA) and Sydney (Australia) as a music director and producer.
