Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province
This afternoon, August 19, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province issued Official Letter No. 928 announcing the results of admission to grade 10 public high schools after the inspection. Specifically, the notice stated that the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province announced the exam scores and benchmark scores of the entrance exam to grade 10 high schools for the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province on the Thai Binh province's primary admission system.
The Department of Education and Training requests high schools and education and training departments to direct secondary schools to promptly notify students of the time to announce exam scores starting from 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, August 20. The address to look up exam scores is at the website: https://thaibinh.tsdc.edu.vn/ .
Previously, as reported in Thanh Nien Newspaper, the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh province took place from June 6 to 8. On June 16, when they started looking up their exam scores, many candidates were shocked because their scores were unusually low, while on the contrary, some other candidates received unusually high scores, so parents and students submitted a request for review.
According to the review results, many candidates had initial scores in literature and math ranging from 2 to 4 points, but after the review, their scores increased to 8 to 9.5 points.
Faced with the above irregularities, some parents whose children took the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh province for the 2024-2025 school year filed a complaint against Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, and those involved in the admission work in the 10th grade entrance exam.
Immediately afterwards, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued many decisions to clarify the incident.
On the evening of July 31, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien from work starting from July 31 to serve the inspection of the organization of the entrance exam for grade 10 high school. The suspension period is 15 days.
On the same day, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued Decision No. 1236/QD-UBND, assigning Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to be in charge of managing the activities of the Department of Education and Training during the time Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien was temporarily suspended from work.
