According to the General Department of Taxation, as of March 24, 2024, nationwide, 14,727/15,981 gasoline retail stores issued electronic invoices for each sale, estimated at 92.2% of the total number of gasoline retail stores.
Notably, 41/63 localities achieved progress of over 90%; of which, 14 localities completed: Hanoi, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Quang Tri, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dak Lak, An Giang, Ben Tre, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Dien Bien, Ninh Binh and Tra Vinh.
Also up to the above time, 5/63 Tax Departments have progress in implementing this work below 70%.
The General Department of Taxation requests that the Directors of the units continue to focus on directing the functional departments to strictly, resolutely, and thoroughly implement the directions of the General Department of Taxation and strive to complete the implementation locally by December 31, 2024.
According to Decree 123/2020/ND-CP of the Government regulating invoices and documents effective from July 1, 2022, petrol stations must issue electronic invoices for each sale. Sellers must ensure that electronic invoices are fully stored when selling petrol to individual customers, ensuring that they can be looked up when requested by competent authorities.
