HKB - Hoa Lu Paper Factory (HKB Hoa Lu Paper Joint Stock Company) in Van Phong Industrial Park, Nho Quan has been operating since 2023, in the context of many economic difficulties and limited export markets. However, with the efforts of the Company's leaders, in 2023, the total output of finished paper products of the factory reached nearly 72 thousand tons, of which the average design capacity reached 12.5 tons in the last months of the year. HKB's products have an export ratio of about 75%, the Company's main markets are China and Singapore.

Mr. Giang Van Anh, General Director of the Company, said: Right in the first month of the new year, HKB - Hoa Lu Paper Factory received good news when the total export output in January reached nearly 10 thousand tons. Currently, the Factory has enough orders to produce for a long time, so right after the Lunar New Year holiday, the Factory has been operating at maximum capacity. In addition, the export situation is showing positive signs, so we believe that 2024 will be a prosperous year and will certainly achieve the Factory's target of producing 150 tons/year, of which grade A products reach over 98%.

Owning a closed, large-scale fruit and vegetable production chain, with a processing factory system that meets the highest standards required by demanding markets, Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Doveco) has been quite busy since the beginning of the year, due to the dense orders signed since the last months of the year.

Sharing the joy of the Company's successes in 2023, Mr. Dinh Gia Nghia, Deputy General Director of the Company, said: In 2023, the Company's revenue reached 2,800 billion VND. Of which, the export turnover reached about 60 million USD, accounting for more than 80% of Doveco's total revenue. Although the world economy is in decline, the Company still broke through, growing by 180% and is one of the leading units in the country in terms of fruit and vegetable export turnover to the EU market. The main export markets are: Israel, EU, USA, Japan, Korea. Each month, the Company exports 60-80 containers of goods. The main export products include: Concentrated products - puree such as: pineapple, passion fruit, banana, lychee; frozen products such as: pineapple, mango, spinach, sweet corn, soybeans, onions, bamboo shoots...; canned products such as: sweet corn, pineapple, lychee...

The Company's leaders believe that 2024 will continue to be a year of success for the Company in the export sector because customers in major markets still trust and choose Doveco as a reliable supplier. The factor to have customers even in difficult times is the professional production and business methods, focusing on quality of the enterprise.

With the efforts of enterprises and the support and participation of all levels and sectors to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for import and export enterprises, export activities have maintained a positive growth rate in the last months of 2023.

Entering 2024, along with other economic sectors, import and export activities have improved since the beginning of the year. The export value in January 2024 reached over 293.7 million USD, an increase of 43% over the same month last year. Items with large export value in the month include: Electronic components 6.3 million USD; aluminum ingots 7.8 million USD; auto parts and components of all kinds 14.7 million USD; clothes of all kinds 27 million USD; cement and clinker 48.1 million USD; footwear 77.4 million USD; cameras and components 78.7 million USD...

According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, in January this year, most export items increased compared to the same period, some key items increased quite well such as: Canned pineapple and cucumber 796 tons, up 57.3%; concentrated pineapple juice 150 tons, up 26.1%; clothes of all kinds 4.7 million pieces, up 31.1%; sedge products 226.5 thousand pieces, up 5.7 times; cement, clinker 1.2 million tons, up 26.8%; shoes of all kinds 5.3 million pairs, up 35.4%; cameras and components 19.8 million products, up 8.1%; optical glasses 200 thousand pieces, up 3.1 times; aluminum ingots 3.2 thousand tons, up 5.3 times; children's toys 1.4 million pieces, up 54.2%...

Along with that, the import value in January reached nearly 270 million USD, up 0.8% compared to January 2023. In particular, the value of commodity groups with a large proportion in the month included: Electronic components 82.9 million USD; auto parts of all kinds 78.2 million USD; footwear production accessories 53.1 million USD; garment fabrics 13.9 million USD.

Despite achieving positive results from the beginning of the year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, import and export activities in 2024 still face many risks and are difficult to predict.

To support export enterprises, Mr. Ngo Minh Kim, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: The Department of Industry and Trade will continue to support enterprises to take advantage of commitments in FTAs to boost exports, through propaganda on rules of origin and issuance of certificates of origin, opportunities and ways to take advantage of opportunities from FTAs. At the same time, it will strengthen the provision of market information on digital platforms for enterprises.

To achieve the export target of 3.25 billion USD in 2024, an increase of 2.8% compared to 2023, the Department of Industry and Trade believes that synchronous implementation by all levels and sectors and more active participation of the import-export business community is needed.
