The Department of Transport Inspectorate has just coordinated with Kinh Mon Town Police and the Traffic Control and Monitoring Center (Department of Transport) to inspect, control and handle violations of overloaded vehicles in Kinh Mon Town.
During the first month of operation, the interdisciplinary team inspected 635 vehicles. Thereby, 18 violations were detected and fined, with a total fine of nearly 500 million VND. The main violations were driving a vehicle carrying goods exceeding its load capacity, driving a vehicle towing a semi-trailer with the total weight of the semi-trailer exceeding the permitted weight, and arbitrarily installing container lifting equipment on the vehicle...
The functional forces also coordinated patrols on National Highway 17B, Provincial Roads 389 and 389B, and district roads with cargo transport vehicles showing signs of overload violations (vehicles with extended cargo beds, overloaded, oversized, or spilled goods, etc.), focusing on the following communes and wards: Minh Tan, Phu Thu, Duy Tan, Hiep Son, Pham Thai, Long Xuyen, and Quang Thanh...
Along with that, organize propaganda to business owners, individuals doing business in transporting goods by container, and vehicle owners to sign a commitment to comply with regulations on ensuring traffic safety.
Previously, in October, people and the press reported that at coal gathering sites in Kinh Mon town and Kim Thanh district, tractor-trailers were seen carrying containers with their roofs cut off. After receiving the report, the Traffic Safety Committee of Hai Duong province sent a document to relevant authorities and localities to inspect and strictly handle violations (if any) according to regulations.
