At the A50 Parade Command Center (Long Thanh, Dong Nai), the police force is entering the final stage of training to prepare for the Parade to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Under the 37-38 degree Celsius heat, determination was still clearly felt in each step of each person. Most of the soldiers participating in the parade training here are from security universities and colleges in the South.

A joint training session lasted for more than 3 hours with the participation of 12 parade units.

Previously, from mid-December 2024, more than 3,000 soldiers gathered here to begin the training process. No phones, no contact with outside life, all focused entirely on training, eating and sleeping at the barracks.

Every day, soldiers practice from 7am to 11am and from 2pm to 5pm regardless of the weather. "The parade is not only a physical exercise but also a mental challenge that requires soldiers to focus their strength and mind," said Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Trung Thuc, head trainer at the Command Headquarters.

"Hands up!

Lift your legs firmly!"

Captain Dau Dinh Nhat shouted loudly while the People's Public Security Air Force was marching. Captain Nhat was in charge of instructing the technical parade for this unit.

"From the first days we met, our teachers and students were very excited, determined that this was an important assigned task and would complete it well," Captain Nhat said.

The People's Public Security Forces participating in this parade are divided into 12 groups, each group has more than 100 people, including both official and reserve. To create a beautiful, highly symbolic formation, everyone not only practices marching techniques but also focuses on the smooth coordination between the groups. Each movement must be synchronized, creating a unified whole.

Female Special Police officers sweat profusely after five rounds of parade practice in one afternoon.

“This is not only a duty but also a great honor for each soldier. We always tell ourselves that every step we take will be a symbol of the strength and discipline of the People's Public Security force,” said female Special Police soldier Nguyen Bao Chinh.

The training period is divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 is basic training (from December 14, 2024 to January 21, 2025). Phase 2 is intensive training, cluster training, and comprehensive training; including intensive training (from February 6 to March 9), cluster training (from March 10 to April 6), and comprehensive training (April 7-24). Phase 3 is preliminary review, final rehearsal, and official tasks (April 25-30). Phase 4 is summarizing and drawing lessons (May 1-4).

Bao Chinh (3rd year female student of People's Police University), part of the female Special Police force, has gradually gotten used to the intensity of training at the barracks.

Many times Chinh missed home and her parents, but she still set herself a goal of only returning home after completing her tasks for April 30.

Standing in the parade of female traffic police officers, Phuong Thao considers herself lucky to be in the police force. Her teammates often tease Thao that whenever they see her face, the word "pride" appears.

"In the first days at the training ground, we encountered many difficulties with the weather and working hours. However, everyone here encouraged and helped each other a lot, especially the military doctors and teachers," Phuong Thao shared.

Every hand strike and leg move is practiced by the female soldiers for many days.

The closer April 30th came, the more nervous Ho Trong Nhan became. Although he was a reserve parade force, he still practiced like an official parade soldier.

"In addition to practicing with the group during the day, we practice on our own in the evening. We also remind each other to eat more, sleep on time and get enough sleep," Trong Nhan shared.

Standing on the podium, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Trung Thuc was like a "conductor" as he both commanded and adjusted each movement for each marching group. Sometimes, Thuc even played marching songs to create more momentum.

Not only the parade force, hundreds of people working in logistics, politics, and propaganda also eat, sleep, and live at the barracks. All share the same desire to equip the young men and women with the physical and mental readiness for important missions.

After many hours on the training ground, every meal or evening entertainment activity is very important for soldiers to restore their physical condition and energy.

In just a short time, the footsteps that have been honed over many months will officially cross the stage on April 30. This is not just a mere performance, but also an opportunity for the entire armed forces to affirm their strong spirit, strength and discipline.

According to the plan, the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day will take place on the morning of April 30 on Le Duan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The total force mobilized for the parade is more than 13,000 people.
