Reporting on the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc said that, implementing the instructions and regulations of the Central Government, An Giang has organized a review and approved the needs (households meeting the criteria in Decision 55/QD-BXD) for housing support in the province of 3,156 households, of which 2,672 are newly built houses and 484 are repaired houses, specifically: households with meritorious services (group 1) 469 households; poor and near-poor households under national target programs (group 2) 601 households; poor and near-poor households under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses (group 3) 2,086 houses. As of March 25, 2025, the province has started construction of 1,647 houses (reaching 52.19%), of which 1,509 are newly built and 138 are repaired.
