Recently, people have reported that spontaneous businesses at the bend at the foot of Linh Ung Pagoda (Son Tra Peninsula, Son Tra District, Da Nang City) are causing traffic insecurity.
Specifically, every evening, local people arbitrarily set up tables and chairs to sell drinks on a steep road on Son Tra peninsula to serve tourists to admire the night view of Da Nang City. Tourists crowded the drink shop, carelessly parked their cars on the road, causing traffic safety problems. What made locals and other tourists upset was that the spontaneous drink shop here littered indiscriminately, causing environmental pollution.
Mr. Ho Ngoc H. (residing in Son Tra District) said: Many tourists stop their cars to drink water and sightsee, encroaching on the road, which is very dangerous.

Immediately after receiving the feedback, the People's Committee of Son Tra District assigned the People's Committee of Tho Quang Ward to inspect and handle the situation of spontaneous trading on the road to Son Tra Peninsula. On August 8, the People's Committee of Tho Quang Ward said that the locality had conducted inspection and verification. After that, a record was drawn up to handle the spontaneous business and confiscate the business items encroaching on Son Tra Peninsula.
According to Mr. Le Tu Hoa, Vice Chairman of Tho Quang Ward People's Committee, in the past 2 months, in the ward, there have been a number of establishments renting jet skis, surfboards... operating illegally, soliciting tourists to use their services; causing safety risks for tourists.
Many tourists park their cars on the street to go to a spontaneous cafe to admire the view of Da Nang city from Son Tra peninsula.
From July 26 to August 26, Tho Quang Ward People's Committee stepped up propaganda, dissemination and education of the law, as well as strengthened management of tourism activities so that people voluntarily comply. At the same time, the locality organized forces to thoroughly handle the situation of illegal spontaneous tourism business activities along the beach of Son Tra peninsula.
Previously, the authorities of Son Tra District and Tho Quang Ward had forcibly removed a number of illegal tourism businesses on Son Tra Peninsula. However, these establishments continued to solicit tourists to experience services such as coral diving, jet skiing, surfing, etc.
Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, affirmed that tourism activities such as diving on Son Tra Peninsula are illegal. Currently, functional units are coordinating to thoroughly handle the case.
