Earlier, on the afternoon of May 13, residents living in an alley on Dinh Quoi An Street, Ward 2 (Thanh Xuan Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) heard a loud explosion. Upon inspection, residents discovered a car emitting smoke.
At this time, people used water and fire extinguishers to put out the fire and broke the car door to take an injured woman out and transfer her to the hospital for treatment.
Police were present to block off the scene, take statements from relevant people, and investigate the incident.
Locals said the victim was Ms. H. (born in 1978, residing in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). Ms. H. lived with a man in a rented house near the area where the explosion occurred.
