On the occasion of the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, Xanh SM collaborated with Veterans Associations in 9 localities to organize a journey back to the roots. A convoy of 90 drivers accompanied 270 veterans in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Da Nang, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, and Can Tho to visit, offer incense and flowers at memorial sites for those who contributed to the revolution.
In each locality, Xanh SM uses 10 free buses, combining with veterans to organize incense offerings to commemorate heroic martyrs. This is a series of activities that contribute to honoring the tradition of patriotism and remembering the source of water in each citizen.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the Veterans Association of Ward 8, District 10, revolutionary veterans, retired cadres and the SM Green team visited and offered incense to commemorate Uncle Ho at Ben Nha Rong - Ho Chi Minh Museum, to commemorate his contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the nation.
Meanwhile, in Da Nang, the flower and incense offering activities of Xanh SM and the Veterans Association of Hoa An ward took place in a solemn atmosphere, demonstrating the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source".
From all over the country, incense offering delegations including 30 members of veterans, revolutionary veterans and Green SM drivers headed to memorial sites for those who contributed to the revolution. In Dong Thap, the delegation together offered incense and visited the tomb of Vice President Nguyen Sinh Sac - the father of President Ho Chi Minh.
This journey back to the source is also an opportunity for retired cadres and veterans to meet and recall old memories.
Throughout the journey, the distance traveled and the generation gap seemed to be shortened by stories about memories of the war, stories of life and career that connected generations of Vietnamese people. Many drivers could not hide their emotions when joining the group to offer incense to commemorate those who had devoted many years to the country.
The Green SM buses with dedicated service helped make the veterans' journey more complete. During this journey, the group visited the following locations: Ben Nha Rong - Ho Chi Minh Museum (HCMC), Ho Chi Minh Museum - Military Region 5 Branch (Da Nang), Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site (Ward 4, Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province), Tan Trao Special National Relic Site (Tuyen Quang), General Vo Nguyen Giap's Tomb...
The trip back to the source is not only a meaningful contribution of Xanh SM in developing historical and cultural tourism, but also affirms the brand's mission of creating green, convenient and sustainable transportation solutions.
