Dong Ngu Commune: Promoting the strength of national solidarity

Previously, Dong Ngu, Tien Yen district was known as a commune with many difficulties in all aspects, but now everything has completely changed. Coming to Dong Ngu commune today, it is easy to see the long rows of beautiful, spacious and modern houses like in a bustling urban area. Roads, schools, electricity, water... are invested synchronously to meet the living needs of the people. That is the "sweet fruit" from the high determination of the entire political system and the people, including the important role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in promoting the strength to build the great national unity bloc.

Comrade Dang Thi Lien, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ngu Commune, Tien Yen District, said: “To promote the spirit of solidarity among the people, we have issued an action program to implement the Party Committee's Resolution, developed a plan to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State to all classes of people, especially promoting the spirit of solidarity and "mutual love" for the community. Besides, we also closely follow the building of the great national solidarity bloc, thereby "pulling" people to participate, creating a vibrant and attractive movement".

Dong Ngu commune also proactively deployed to the village front work committees to develop plans, concretize them into practical action programs, promote the strength of great national solidarity, especially in launching and widely implementing specific movements and activities such as cleaning and beautifying village roads, green - clean - beautiful roads; the "Country Road Light" program; flower roads, flag roads in villages... Thereby creating a widespread influence, gradually raising awareness and responsibility of all classes of people, promoting the role of the people in building a spirit of solidarity, unanimity and consensus in residential areas.

One of the outstanding results of Dong Ngu commune in building the great national unity bloc is mobilizing people to donate land and constructions on land to expand traffic infrastructure. In 2024, the Dong Ngu commune Fatherland Front Committee and organizations propagated and mobilized people to donate ^4,800m2 of land and many assets on land such as surrounding walls, house gates, fruit trees, etc. to carry out constructions in the area.

Dong Nam village, Dong Ngu commune, Tien Yen district has over 300 households living. The traffic route passing through Dong Nam village has a total length of over 2km. To expand this route, Dong Ngu commune government and the team of Party cell secretaries, village chiefs and other mass organizations have continuously promoted and mobilized people to donate land to expand the road. Realizing the benefits and the mobilization of authorities at all levels, Dong Nam village people voluntarily donated land to expand the road. When the road gradually took shape, people were very excited because there was a beautiful road and safe travel.

Ms. Do Thi Huyen, Dong Nam village, Dong Ngu commune said: “Right after the commune and village departments mobilized us to donate land to expand the road, my family immediately supported. Then my family proceeded to demolish the main gate of our family so that the construction unit could clear the ground for the road. We, the people of Dong Nam village, are very happy because after many years of traveling on a narrow, unsafe road, we are now about to have a new road thanks to the consensus of the people and financial support from the province and district.”

To create consensus among the people, the mass organizations of Dong Ngu commune have organized propaganda to members, grassroots branches, organized activities and meetings; implemented "smart mass mobilization" models. At the same time, they directed the villages to propagate visually with banners, slogans, billboards, posters on the main roads of the commune, the main roads of the village and public places, offices and schools in the area. Thereby, the people have unanimously supported all the methods proposed by Dong Ngu commune.

Thanks to the effective promotion of building the great national unity bloc, Dong Ngu commune has achieved many positive results from the consensus and positive response of all classes of people through meaningful and effective works and projects.
