The Military Command of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company is considered one of the bright spots in implementing local military and defense work in Quang Ninh. Over the past 10 years, the Military Command of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company has always achieved many outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement to win of the Quang Ninh Armed Forces. In particular, in recent years, the unit has continuously implemented highly effective activities.

Specifically, in 2022, the unit will develop a plan, organize and mobilize all officers and employees to participate and win the first prize in the contest to learn about the 75-year tradition of the provincial armed forces. In 2023, organize training, participate in the 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun platoon competition and win the first prize in the provincial self-defense bloc, participate in the competition of the Ministry of National Defense and win the second prize in the army. In 2024, participate in the military shooting competition of the regular army and militia, win the second prize in the self-defense bloc; participate in the National Defense Sports Festival, win the second prize in the group; send athletes to join the national defense sports competition at the Military Region level with excellent results...

Director and Commander of the Military Command of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company Ho Quoc said: Vang Danh Coal is a unit that exploits underground mines, has a large area, and organizes production in 3 shifts, so the company's training, combat readiness inspection, and mobilization of the self-defense force faces many difficulties. However, to overcome the existing limitations, the company always pays attention to the work of developing the force, as well as implementing solutions to improve the quality of training and combat readiness of the unit's self-defense force.

Every year, the company's Military Command advises on doing a good job of reviewing and selecting resources to supplement the force appropriately, in accordance with the prescribed staffing, ensuring that all departments have self-defense officers and soldiers as the core. The process of building the force focuses on officers and workers of the prescribed age, in good health, giving priority to those who have completed military service and have outstanding military capabilities to train and arrange to take on the role of framework officers at all levels in the self-defense battalion. At the same time, the unit develops plans, participates in training officers and prepares adequate facilities for training; proactively coordinates with each department, division, and workshop, unifies the time and number of training personnel to ensure reasonableness so as not to affect production and business.

The province currently has 51 self-defense units in the coal industry, of which 20 are the Coal Industry Self-Defense Military Commands under the Provincial Military Command and 31 are under the Military Commands of districts, towns and cities. Mr. Pham Van Khoi, Deputy Commander of the TKV Military Command, said: In order to improve the activities of the Coal Industry Self-Defense Force, TKV has directed agencies and units to promote education and training in national defense and security knowledge for the subjects; regularly improve the Military Command, the team of officers in charge of national defense work, command the self-defense forces at all levels, and ensure the number and quality of the reserve mobilization force. The Group proactively balances the budget to ensure on-site logistics; organizes the purchase of self-defense and security uniforms, support tools, and ensures necessary conditions.

"The self-defense forces in the units have been taking the lead in production emulation movements, associated with maintaining training and high combat readiness; mobilizing forces and means to coordinate with forces participating in protecting production, maintaining order and security; participating in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, preventing fires and explosions, and promptly responding to situations on land and at sea when ordered or according to local task requirements. At the same time, they regularly coordinate to organize combat drills to protect agencies and units, participate in provincial and district defense zone drills and perform military and defense tasks when necessary" - the Deputy Commander of the TKV Military Command affirmed.
