Sharing with us, he said that according to his profile, he was born in 1933 (92 years old this year), but his actual age is 96 years old. However, his health is still good, he still comfortably talked to us all morning with a humorous, youthful way of talking and it seemed like there was no age gap.
He said that as a son of Quang Ngai who had gathered in the North, who was given a full education by the government, and had the knowledge and ability to compose songs, he was very conscious of writing about his homeland to praise the heroic land and people of Quang Ngai. But the emotions and opportunities were not always there. And he considered it a debt to his homeland.
At the age of 96, musician Truong Quang Luc still plays the entire piano song Quang Ngai, the indomitable motherland.

In 1970, after painful events such as the Son My massacre (1968) along with the rising anti-American movement in the South in particular and Quang Ngai, Truong Quang Luc wrote the song Quang Ngai, the stubborn motherland (some copies are recorded as Quang Ngai, the stubborn motherland ). It was a song born when the country was still divided by war.
Since its inception, the song "Quang Ngai, the indomitable motherland" has been widely popularized, as a timely encouragement for the cadres and people of Quang Ngai to continue to hold guns, maintain their fighting spirit, and be determined to liberate their homeland and unify the country.
Lifetime creation for the homeland
The 96-year-old musician opened the piano lid and played the song " Quang Ngai, the indomitable motherland ". His hands still glided skillfully over each key. The majestic lyrical sounds of the "provincial song" filled the small room:
"You once told me about Quang Ngai
Heroic land of guerrillas Ba To
In the resistance from mountains, forests, rivers and beaches
Never let the enemy occupy..."
Musician Truong Quang Luc said that since the country was unified, his homeland has changed a lot. But "Quang Ngai, the indomitable motherland" is still the most successful song, considered his lifelong composition for his homeland.
