Nguyen Thu Thao was born in 2005, from Tuyen Quang, is a student at the National Economics University. She is one of the contestants in the top 41 finalists of Miss Vietnam 2024.

With a height of 1.78 m, Thu Thao is the tallest contestant in this year's contest. Her measurements are 89 - 64 - 92 cm. The beauty said that after the anthropometric round in the Northern preliminary round, her measurements did not change much.

Thanks to her impressive height, Thu Thao has been pursuing a career as a lookbook model for about 2 years now. She often takes photos for brands and designers in a luxurious, ladylike style.

Thu Thao said that when she was in school, she used to feel self-conscious because her height was too outstanding compared to her friends. "Since I grew up, I have learned to love and appreciate myself. Height is not only an appearance but also an advantage that helps me be more confident in life and work," she said.

When they learned that Thu Thao intended to participate in Miss Vietnam, her parents were worried, afraid that she would not be healthy enough to follow the schedule of the Organizing Committee. The 20-year-old beauty was inspired by her seniors studying at the National Economics University such as Miss Do Thi Ha and runner-up Phuong Nga.

In the future, the girl from Tuyen Quang wants to work in the field of finance and banking she is studying.

In daily life, the female student wears light makeup and likes to wear feminine dresses. Thu Thao will join 40 other contestants in the final round in April in Hanoi. Miss Vietnam is a beauty contest initiated by Tien Phong newspaper, first held in 1988 under the name Miss Tien Phong Newspaper Association. The first person to hold the crown was Bui Bich Phuong, from Hanoi. The contest is held every two years, the 19th season starting at the end of 2024. Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy will crown her successor at the final round, scheduled to be held in early June in Thua Thien Hue.
