Expressing deep gratitude for the assistance of international relief teams from five countries, Dr. Soe Win, Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, highly appreciated the efforts to search and rescue victims and support the people of Myanmar affected by the earthquake.
Expressing deep gratitude to the five international relief teams from Southeast Asian countries, Dr. Soe Win sent his sincere thanks to the governments of the countries that sent teams to share with Myanmar in this difficult natural disaster situation.
Also at the ceremony, the Myanmar representative said the search and rescue phase ended and the reconstruction phase was moved on.

Thus, after 8 days of international relief work in Myanmar, the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security's relief team has found 7 victims' bodies, coordinated with other search teams and handed over 7 other victims' bodies to local authorities and families.
Also today (April 6), the relief delegation from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam continued to visit and give gifts to patients seriously injured by the earthquake at two field hospitals: the 100-bed hospital at Shwe Kyarpin Football Stadium, Zabuthiri town with 96 patients and the 60-bed field hospital at the outdoor stadium in Pyinmana district with 48 patients.

Colonel Kyaw Myo Tun, Commander of the field hospital, said: "We are very grateful for the timely support of the rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. We really appreciate your actions, you came to the place to give gifts to each Myanmar citizen here."
Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), said that the total amount of goods that the relief delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security donated to help the people of Myanmar was nearly 3 tons and 20 million Kyat (Myanmar currency); this amount was donated by members of the delegation and some benefactors.
