Hope the children can study fully
In the difficult commune of Ia H'lop (Chu Se district, Gia Lai), the family of Mr. Le Loc and Mrs. Dao Phuong Nu Cam Linh is "famous" for having 7 sons who all passed the university entrance exam.
According to Mr. Le Loc, the eldest son Le Huy Hoang (born in 1992) graduated from university in 2015 and the youngest son just passed the university entrance exam this year. To raise 7 children, the family had to work many jobs and borrow money everywhere. Despite the hardship, the family always encouraged the children to study hard and nurture their dreams.

Mr. Loc confided: "To have money to send our children to university, my wife and I did not dare to buy new clothes. We saved all our money to take care of each child. After more than 25 years of hardship, we feel happy because our efforts have been rewarded by our children passing university entrance exams and having stable jobs."
According to Ms. Linh, among their 7 sons, there was a pair of twins. The family was poor and had many children, so life was full of difficulties. The family of 9 relied on the meager income from the couple's hired work. The biggest worry at that time was the cost of their children's education.
"My husband and I do not have the opportunity to go to school much, so we want our children to study fully. We always encourage them so that none of them have to drop out of school halfway and worry about food and clothing while they are still in school," Ms. Linh shared.
Not discouraged by the difficulties, Mr. Loc and his wife "worked hard in the sun and rain", diligently working everywhere. Understanding the hardships of their parents, the 7 children all tried hard, diligently studied, and took advantage of their free time to help their parents with gardening. Although they did not have the opportunity to attend extra classes, all 7 siblings were excellent students and passed the university entrance exams with high scores.
7 boys, 9 college degrees
Le Huy Hoang is the eldest son and also the "locomotive" leading and guiding his younger siblings. In 2011, Hoang successfully passed the journalism entrance exam at Hue University of Sciences.
Knowing that his family was in financial difficulty, when he was stable in his studies, Hoang applied to work as a janitor for a coffee shop or restaurant in his spare time. After that, Hoang guided and helped his two younger brothers, Le Xuan Thai and Le Thanh Binh, to study at Hue University of Law.
"Since high school, I asked to drop out of school but my parents always encouraged me to study. Understanding those expectations, I always tried hard to study and proactively found extra jobs to earn money for school and help my parents take care of my younger siblings," Hoang shared.

Ms. Linh recalls: "In 2013, all three children entered university. At that time, coffee and pepper were both out of season and had low prices, causing the family's economy to be exhausted. Many days, my husband and I did not have rice but still saved money to send our children to school. Despite the difficulties, I always called to ask about them and encouraged them not to give up on their studies."
After going through a difficult period, Mr. Loc and his wife's 6 children graduated and found stable jobs for themselves in the government and companies. The eldest son, Le Huy Hoang, is working at the Party Committee of Ia H'lop commune.
Hoang’s two younger brothers, Le Xuan Thai and Le Thanh Binh, both work in law firms. Le Huu An, Le Huu Toan, and Le Huu Thach graduated from university with a degree in automobile engineering and are working as technicians in automobile dealerships in Pleiku City, Gia Lai.
In 2024, the youngest son Le Huu That (born 2006) just passed the entrance exam to the automobile engineering major of the Faculty of Traffic Engineering at Nha Trang University (Khanh Hoa province).

Not only that, Mr. Le Huy Hoang owns 2 university degrees in journalism and law. Mr. Hoang's younger brother, Le Thanh Binh, has 2 university degrees in law and English.
Mr. Loc is proud that his children have not failed his expectations, but have studied and supported themselves. During the holidays, the seven sons gather around the family dinner table.
"Our children are now grown up, successful, and have stable jobs, so my wife and I can enjoy our old age in peace. Even though they don't do big things, to us, they are successful," Mr. Loc confided.
