Vinh Phuc has a new Provincial Chairman

On the morning of July 31, Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council held its 17th session to review and decide on personnel work under its authority.

At the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates voted by secret ballot to elect Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% of the votes in favor.

Previously, on the morning of July 30, the Central Organizing Committee announced the Secretariat's decision on personnel work in Vinh Phuc province.

According to the decision, Mr. Tran Duy Dong ceased to hold the position of Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong was mobilized and appointed to join the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025; introduced to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong, born in 1979 in Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province. Mr. Dong has a Master's degree in Public Policy in Japan, a Bachelor's degree in Investment Economics and a Bachelor's degree in English.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong started working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2002 as a specialist, Department of Industrial Parks - Export Processing Zones Management (now the Department of Economic Zones Management).

In 2014, Mr. Tran Duy Dong was appointed Director of the Department of Economic Zones Management.

In November 2018, he was appointed Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy.

In October 2020, Mr. Tran Duy Dong was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
