Honoring many agricultural start-up projects

Dozens of youth startup projects related to technological solutions serving the green transformation of the agricultural economy will be honored and supported to connect investment for replication.

On November 15 and 16, in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province, the 2nd Mekong Delta Startup Forum (MSF) 2024 will be jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial People's Committee with the content cooperation of Committee IV (under the Prime Minister's Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform).

The 2nd MSF Forum in 2024 focuses on the theme “Green Economy - New Driving Force for Development”. Accordingly, there will be many seminars, exhibitions, and discussions related to the fields, solutions, and green transformation ideas for the economy of the Mekong Delta region in particular and the whole country in general.

Within the framework of this Forum, the Organizing Committee of the Mekong Innovation Competition 2024 “Green Transformation - Sustainable Development” will conduct a vote and award prizes to the Top 10 startup projects and innovative startups related to the field of green transformation. This competition was launched and closed for applications earlier, on October 25.

According to information from the Organizing Committee of the competition, 10 projects have excelled in the Top 10 projects with high awards in this competition.

Including: Seed Armor Project (author Thach Hoang Anh); smart index reading machine project: water, electricity, gas, air (author Nguyen Thanh Cong); project to collect and treat organic waste from the pangasius industry - biogas fermentation and renewable energy production (author Le Minh Hieu); Endota green product set project produced from agricultural by-products (author Vo Duy Khanh); Airboots project - Super light robot to take care of rice plants with three functions of spraying, fertilizing and sowing seeds (author Le Thi Thu Ngan); project to produce cordyceps mushroom from coconut properties (author Vo Le Nhu Ngoc); project to research green growing tank products from recycled materials using high-content slag for large-scale basement floors (author Nguyen Thien Phuc); NetZero Pallet project - Pallet made from coconut shells (author Le Thanh); Alpha Amino circular value chain project to reduce emissions in the aquaculture industry (author Nguyen Trung Tinh) and Mekong farmstay project to restore natural environment (author Ho Ngoc Tram).

The Organizing Committee of the competition plans to review and announce the awards for the projects on November 16. The value of the awards ranges from 10 million VND (encouragement) to 100 million VND (first prize). In addition, the winning projects in the Mekong Initiative 2024 competition will also be supported by localities to connect with businesses, investors and economic organizations to develop and expand production, expand consumption markets and complete investment when mass deployment in practice in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and across the country.
