Kinhtedothi - On January 24, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism announced that 17 Vietnamese units were honored at the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2025 held in Malaysia.
In which, Hong Van commune (Thuong Tin) received the ASEAN Community Tourism Award - CBT SEAN ; Duong Lam Ancient Village Homestay Cluster received the ASEAN Homestay Award.
The ASEAN Tourism Awards is an annual event to honor localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of tourist destinations in the ASEAN region. This is also an opportunity for tourism businesses as well as local tourism organizations to effectively market their tourism activities and contribute to promoting the national tourism brand.

The fact that Vietnamese tourism businesses have received important ASEAN awards has contributed to affirming the determination to improve the quality of Vietnamese tourism services. At this year's Forum, the Vietnamese delegation attended the TRAVEX Fair with the Vietnam Tourism Pavilion with the aim of promoting proactive ASEAN integration, demonstrating the role of an active member of the Regional Economic Community.
In addition, the forum also introduced a number of new tourism development policies to promote attracting international tourists to Vietnam; introduced the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025; at the same time, enhanced the promotion of Vietnam's tourism brand with outstanding values and key tourism products, conveying the message that Vietnam is a safe, friendly and attractive destination to the ASEAN community, partner countries and friends around the world.
This is also a highlight affirming the impressive recovery of Vietnam's tourism in the past year, welcoming 17.6 million international visitors, an increase of 40% compared to 2023, serving 110 million domestic visitors and total tourism revenue reaching 840 trillion VND.

Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang informed that on September 24, 2024, Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 4992/QD-UBND on recognizing Hong Van tourist area, Hong Van commune, Thuong Tin district as a city-level tourist area.
Hong Van is a suburban commune along the Red River embankment in Thuong Tin district. Hong Van commune owns a system of relics (including 16 relics, including 1 national historical relic, 2 city historical relics) and a rich folk cultural treasure. The experience of Hong Van village tourism has created an attraction for a large number of tourists, the commune has welcomed an average of 35,000 visitors every year, the value of tourism revenue is estimated at over 10 billion VND.
In addition, the ornamental plant craft village of Hong Van commune was recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as a tourist destination of the city in 2018. With increasingly improved service quality and many quality tourism products, Hong Van commune was recognized as a city-level tourist area.
