Vietnam Airlines will increase its focus on tourist routes such as between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to tourist destinations during the peak season of April 30 - May 1.
To meet the travel demand during the April 30-May 1 holiday, Vietnam Airlines will provide nearly 560,000 seats, equivalent to more than 2,800 flights on its domestic and international network from April 26 to May 2.
Accordingly, the increased number of flights will focus on tourist routes such as between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Con Dao, etc.
On the international flight network, Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia are the destinations with the most flights of Vietnam Airlines.
Notably, despite difficulties in operating aircraft due to objective factors, the airline still maintained a slight increase in supply capacity compared to the same period last year thanks to optimizing resources and flexible and proactive operations.
Currently, many flights on the routes Hanoi-Hue, Quang Binh, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc; Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang, Phu Quoc... during peak season are 50-70% full.
To choose the desired schedule, the airline recommends that passengers proactively plan to book early, buy tickets through the website, Vietnam Airlines mobile application or the airline's official ticket offices and agents.
During peak periods, Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers check in online before their flight via the website, mobile app, hotline 1900 6265 or at self-check-in counters (kiosk check-in) within 24 hours before departure.
Passengers who have checked in in advance and do not have checked baggage can go straight to the security screening gate at the airport, without having to go to the traditional airline check-in counter, thus saving a lot of travel and waiting time.
