The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and airlines have just held a meeting to consider increasing capacity to meet people's travel needs during the upcoming 5-day April 30 - May 1 holiday.
Accordingly, during the peak holiday period of April 30 and May 1, 2024, Vietnamese airlines will provide 100,000 to 110,000 seats per day on domestic routes, an increase of about 20% compared to the average in March 2024. The general assessment shows that there is a situation of uneven exploitation during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, similar to the peak period of Lunar New Year.
Vietjet Air said that to meet the needs of people and tourists, during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday week, April 30 and May 1, Vietjet will add 86,000 seats, equivalent to nearly 425 flights on tourist routes. In addition, Vietjet will also increase the frequency of flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang... during the summer period, providing an additional 1.3 million seats to serve people and tourists.
Vietjet also focuses resources to increase flights, reduce turnaround time at airports and bring customers good price promotions.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, up to now, on domestic flights, passengers can still basically book tickets and have many ticket prices to choose from to suit each passenger's conditions and travel needs. The Civil Aviation Authority also recommends that passengers should develop travel plans early, purchase tickets through official ticket sales channels and proactively monitor information on airlines' operating plans to make appropriate arrangements and adjustments and choose reasonable ticket prices.
