Vietnam and China signed 14 cooperation documents

In a joyful, warm and friendly atmosphere, the two General Secretaries and Presidents reviewed the tradition of friendship between the two Parties and two countries; had a cordial exchange about tea culture in the customs and practices of each country; reviewed the common perceptions just reached at the talks and emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral relations to a new height.

On the same day, General Secretary and President To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping witnessed the signing ceremony of 14 documents signed by ministries, branches, central agencies and localities of the two countries during this state visit.

1. Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (National Academy of Public Administration).

2. Memorandum of Understanding on Industrial Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.

3. Certificate of handover of the Project Results of Vietnam aid to plan the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong standard gauge railway between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of China.

4. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and the National Health Commission of China on medical cooperation.

5. Memorandum of Understanding between the State Bank of Vietnam and the People's Bank of China on enhancing cooperation and information exchange on banking operations.

6. Protocol on phytosanitary requirements for fresh coconuts exported from Vietnam to China between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of China.

7. Protocol between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of China on quarantine and health requirements for farmed crocodiles exported from Vietnam to China.

8. Protocol on phytosanitary and food safety requirements for frozen durian exported from Vietnam to China between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of China.

9. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and the General Administration of International Development Cooperation of China on promoting development cooperation projects in the social and people's livelihood fields.

10. Official letter between the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam and the General Administration for Development Cooperation of China on the feasibility study of the Technical Aid Project to establish the Planning for two standard gauge railway lines Lang Son - Hanoi and Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hanoi.

11. Agreement on professional cooperation between Vietnam News Agency and Xinhua News Agency, China.

12. Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation between Vietnam Television and China Central Radio and Television .

13. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China on cooperation in the field of traditional medicine.

14. Memorandum of Understanding on the Press and Media Exchange Program between the Vietnam Journalists Association and the China National Journalists Association for the period 2024 - 2029.

General Secretary and President To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping

The two documents announced at the signing ceremony include:

1. Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation in the economic and trade fields between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the People's Government of Hainan Province, China.

2. Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation in the economic and trade fields between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the People's Government of Shandong Province, China.

After more than 30 years of normalization, especially more than 15 years since the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership framework in 2008, Vietnam-China relations have made rapid and increasingly profound and comprehensive progress in all fields.

Since the beginning of 2024, the bilateral relationship has maintained a positive development momentum, with the atmosphere of cooperation spreading strongly to all levels, sectors and people. Both sides assessed that the bilateral relationship is at its deepest, most comprehensive and substantive level ever.
