Former US President Donald Trump appeared in federal court in Miami on June 13 to hear the indictment on the case of keeping classified documents. However, because he is a former president, the court procedures are a bit different than usual.

Normally, a defendant would have his or her mug shot taken as a precaution in case they flee, but because Mr Trump is a celebrity, authorities did not need to take one. Instead, they simply took a photo from an official source for their records, which would not be released.
In addition, fingerprinting is also done digitally, so there is no need to roll your hand in ink, according to USA Today .
Trump pleads not guilty in federal classified documents case
In April, Mr. Trump also did not pose for a mugshot when he was indicted and appeared in court in New York on charges of falsifying records, related to the payment of hush money to a porn star.
Trump's lawyer and spokeswoman Alina Habba said he was in a special position and did not need a mugshot. "He is not threatening to flee. He is the front-runner for the Republican nomination. He will go through the process in coordination with the Secret Service and it will all go smoothly," Habba told CBS News.

In federal court, defendants are typically photographed and fingerprinted after being read their rights and charges, but Mr. Trump completed these procedures before entering the courtroom. The leader also had a swab sample taken for archival DNA testing.
On the other hand, there are no cameras in the federal courtroom, unlike state courts like New York. Therefore, the image of Mr. Trump in the New York trial appeared while only the artist's drawing appeared in the Miami trial on June 13.
The Miami court also did not require the leader to post bail or impose any travel restrictions. He was only barred from contacting his aide Walt Nauta, who was also charged in the case, as well as other potential witnesses. No conditions were set in the New York prosecution.
Mr Trump was charged with 37 counts of mishandling classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and obstructing the investigation. He has pleaded not guilty.
