In October 2024, when he was in Ba Ria-Vung Tau to attend the PPA Tour Australia - Vietnam Open 2024 pickleball tournament, Ly Hoang Nam revealed that it was the time he started to get acquainted with pickleball to experience and gain more feeling in this sport. Gradually, after that, the 1997-born player affirmed his class, having no opponents at national pickleball tournaments.

Up to now, after 6 months of playing pickleball, Ly Hoang Nam has recorded 7 championships. The 7 championships that this tennis star won with pickleball include: champion of the Lao Cai Open 2025 pickleball tournament in Open doubles; champion of the men's doubles of the 2025 National Pickleball Championship; champion of the VPO Hanoi Open 2025 in Open doubles; champion of the SS Arena Ba Ria-Vung Tau tournament in Open doubles; champion of the KING CUP- Hai Duong tournament in Open doubles; champion of the Kootoro Open 2024 HCM tournament in Open doubles and champion of the men's doubles of the Kootoro tournament in 2024.
Recently, Ly Hoang Nam collaborated with Vietnamese sports brand Kamito to organize an event to announce the Kamito brand ambassador and launch the Kamito Alpha pickleball racket in Hanoi.
Kamito Alpha Pickleball Racket has accompanied Ly Hoang Nam to mark victories such as winning the 2025 National Pickleball Championship, winning the VPO Hanoi Pickleball Championship, winning the Hai Duong King Cup Pickleball Championship and winning the SS Arena Vung Tau Pickleball Championship.

Ly Hoang Nam is still the best ranked Vietnamese tennis player on the world professional male tennis player rankings (ATP).
In 2012, Ly Hoang Nam began to participate in tournaments in the youth and professional systems of world tennis. Hoang Nam was recognized as one of the youngest tennis players to ever win the men's singles championship at the National Championship. In 2012, he won the championship when he was only 15 years old.

The Vietnamese tennis star has made it to the men's singles finals at the SEA Games three times in a row.
