Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Deputy Head of Admissions Department, Vietnam-France University, said that this year the school is recruiting 120 international master's program candidates, including: biotechnology (botany, biomedicine, pharmacy), information and communication technology, advanced materials science and nanotechnology, space (remote sensing, satellite technology and astrophysics), applied environmental science, quality assurance and food safety.
Students studying the dual degree programs will be enrolled at both USTH and a partner university in France, and receive two degrees. One from the Vietnam-France University, the other from the partner university, which is one of the many prestigious universities and research institutes in the field of science and technology in France.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hien also said that all students of the international master's program have the opportunity to do a graduation internship (6 months) at universities, research institutes, and laboratories in France, Germany, Canada, Japan, etc. In particular, if accepted to do an internship in France, according to the law of this country, all interns will receive a salary.
"Whether or not students can find an internship abroad depends on the dynamism of each student and the support of the teachers (who are lecturers of partner schools). According to the experience of previous courses, more than half of the students found an internship abroad, most of which were in France. The internship experience abroad not only helps students practice working skills in a professional international environment but also serves as a solid stepping stone for students to confidently enter today's globalized labor market," said Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hien.
