On November 26, the Standing Committee of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee held the 19th Provincial Party Committee Conference to summarize and evaluate the implementation of the 2024 resolution and discuss and agree to propose a resolution on directions and tasks for 2025.
According to the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, in 2024, the local socio-economic situation has achieved some quite important results; political security, social order and safety have been maintained. Compared to the targets of the Provincial Party Committee Resolution in 2024, it is estimated that 19/24 targets for the year have been achieved and exceeded. In particular, in the context of the country's economic situation facing many unfavorable external factors and difficulties, limitations, shortcomings, and internal backlogs that have lasted for many years, the province's economy has maintained growth momentum, with the total product in the area (GRDP) estimated at 5.45%. Cultural - social activities and social security have been maintained, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Administrative reform, reform of the civil service and civil servant regimes continue to have positive changes. National defense - security, social order and safety in the area are ensured, and complicated situations that arise are controlled.
Speaking at the Conference, Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Council Ho Thi Hoang Yen emphasized that 2025 is the final year of the 2020-2025 term, the province must both focus on completing the targets and tasks of the congress resolution, and prepare to successfully organize the congress for the 2025-2030 term, which is also a year with many major holidays of the country and the province. Therefore, the Party Committee, branches, cadres and party members must truly agree with the spirit of outstanding progress, make continuous efforts... to achieve the highest level of targets and tasks of the 2025 resolution, creating a premise for implementing the Resolution of the 12th Provincial Party Congress right from the beginning of the term.
At the Conference, Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee discussed and agreed to identify 26 targets, 13 tasks and main solutions for 2025.
To achieve the set goals, the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province requested that Party committees at all levels lead the successful organization of Party cell congresses under the grassroots Party Committees, grassroots Party Congresses, district level and equivalent towards the 12th Provincial Party Congress; focus on the work of drafting provincial documents, organize to collect comments according to the plan as a basis and orientation for lower-level Party committees to draft documents; pay attention to updating the guiding viewpoints of General Secretary To Lam on "The new era of development - The era of the Vietnamese nation's rise".
Along with that, Ben Tre province accelerated the progress, completed a number of key traffic works and put them into use before the Lunar New Year, creating convenience and smooth traffic in the area. Along with that, regularly reviewed and cut down projects that had been allocated capital but were slow to implement in order to adjust capital to implement other key works and projects, striving for a disbursement rate of over 95%.
Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen requested that Party committees and sectors at all levels urgently concretize and deploy task assignments right from the beginning of the year, and pay attention to improving working methods towards being close to people and close to work. All levels and sectors, especially the heads of Party committees, authorities, agencies and units, strengthen synchronous coordination, seriously and proactively perform tasks according to their responsibilities and authority, and strive to achieve and exceed the targets set out in the resolution.../..
