At the same time, the orientation is to adjust the development of the total pig herd by 2030 to reach 423,300 heads, an increase of 216,300 heads compared to the original project.
Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.
Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee said that the current epidemic situation is very complicated. In order for the project to be effective, ensuring livestock development among districts, improving land use coefficients and advantages of each region, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is requested to coordinate with relevant sectors and localities to focus on re-counting the entire herd and livestock area of farms, thereby forming a suitable concentrated farming area plan. Issue synchronous control criteria on the scale of farming area as well as waste treatment process, meeting current legal regulations; review livestock projects that have been granted investment policies by the province and projects that have not been licensed to arrange appropriate land funds; improve state management, organize periodic inspections and supervision of livestock activities at farms; resolutely handle farms that do not comply with the licensed scale and do not ensure environmental pollution.
