The team from the land of the Golden Temple possesses a force that is considered the leading candidate for the gold medal at this Southeast Asian Games.

Therefore, facing a weaker opponent with no more goals to play for, U22 Thailand easily controlled the game, dominating with diverse and sharp attacks. Just 4 minutes after the opening whistle, coach Issara Sritaro's students had 2 goals ahead thanks to strikers Yotsakon and Teerasak.
